The conference dates coincide with the Anchorage Fur Rendezvous — when the streets of downtown Anchorage come alive with winter sports, sled dog races, native art and cultural activities. Check out the January/February 2012 issue of the National Geographic Traveler magazine. The Anchorage Fur Rondy is rated as the #1 winter carnival in the world!

The Idiatrod Sled Dog Race, commonly known as "The Last Great Race" will commence during this time as well.

Accommodations — Located in Downtown Anchorage, Alaska, all hotel properties are walking distance to the Egan Convention Center

Host Hotel: Captain Cook. The Captain Cook has sold out for the nights of the 28, 29 and March 1, 2 yet you can still get the great $99 room rate for 3 nights before and after those dates. Call 907-276-6000 or 800-843-1950 and request the APCO rate.

Overflow: Voyager Rodeway Inn. We have reserved an exclusive boutique property directly across the street from the Captain Cook Hotel. The APCO rate of $85/single and $95/double for the overflow hotel are good only for February 28 through March 2, 2011. Call 907-222-8126 and ask for the APCO rate. You must specifically mention the Rodeway Inn when you reserve your room.This hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to and from the Anchorage International Airport.

Overflow: Westmark Anchorage Hotel. This is the closest hotel to the Egan Center and two blocks from the Captain Cook Hotel.
